LocalMotion SMS Consent Disclosure
LocalMotion uses SMS only for account authentication and security verification. SMS messages may be sent when a user requests a verification code during account signup, login, phone-number verification, MFA enrollment, MFA verification, or account-security checks.
How users opt in
Users opt in inside the LocalMotion mobile app by entering their mobile phone number and checking an optional SMS consent checkbox before tapping Send verification code, Send Code, Resend Code, or Verify Phone Number. The checkbox is unchecked by default and must be actively selected by the user before any SMS verification code is sent.

Proof of in-app SMS consent flow
Before any SMS verification or authentication message can be sent, the user must manually select the SMS consent checkbox shown above. The checkbox is unchecked by default and requires active user action before the “Send Code” or “Resend Code” button will function.
If the checkbox is not selected, the application blocks the SMS request and no message is sent.
This ensures LocalMotion collects explicit user consent prior to sending any SMS authentication or verification communications.
